I’m slowly growing a Substack for longer essays and community reading groups. The focus is mostly philosophy, but you can also expect classical music, history and literature to make appearances.
All the writing is available for free. Every Substack post is also archived on this website.

What is synechism?
“Synechism” was coined by C. S. Peirce, who defined it as “that tendency of philosophical thought which insists upon the idea of continuity as of prime importance in philosophy and, in particular, upon the necessity of hypotheses involving true continuity.”1
A synechist understands things by drawing connections between them rather than analysing them as self sufficient atoms. If you’ve heard of pragmatism and abductive reasoning, those ideas are intimately related to synechism. This philosophy centers questioning and experiment.
